We have had our phones flooded with calls this week about our Youth Basketball program . For families that have asked and for others that may have the same questions- We have an answer!! Due to an overlap in youth programming in the Northern Blair County area, we wanted to ensure that all kiddos that were interested in playing basketball would still have the opportunity.
We have decided that any child that still wants the opportunity to play will be able to sign up late (through the entire 10 weeks) if they have the interest , without a late registration fee. The NBCRC is here support our youth in creating healthy activities and outlets such as Basketball, Soccer and Kindersports and would not want any child missing out of anything they want to participate in!
We understand that there is more of an overlap this year than in years past with programs such as gymnastics, dance & football and we are happy to ensure a spot on a team and a shirt for even the late comers.

This is a co-ed draft league for grades K-6th with emphasis on development.

Clinics are for 3rd/4th & 5th/6th graders only.

Coach: Lance Robinson S.E Instructor: Madison Miller
A Little about Coach Robinson :
Coach Lance Robinson has been coaching youth in Blair County for the past 19 years. Lance has a youth basketball program in Altoona “ Blair County Bucs” currently and Is also the Head Coach for Juniata Valley Jr. Highschool.
Lance Has donated his time as a Coach for our the Youth Developmental/ Youth Competitive Basketball programs through the years and we are so excited to work with him for our new summer programming for youth Basketball!
From Coach Lance Robinson : Confidence Plays a major role in the growth and development of a child’s skill In sports. With our programs we will be:
· Learning the fundamentals of basketball
· Learning Teamwork
· Sharing our progress at the programs end with a Family Day Scrimmage Game
A Little about Madison Miller: Madison has been working in the Behavioral health field for 4 years and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. In the Past Madison worked within the Pittsburg Public School District primarily facilitating groups that teach life and social skills for Ages K-12 in school and at home. Madison currently works at the Journey Center in Altoona PA as a Behavioral Health technician with children with unique abilities to help them develop and master life, social and Safety skills. We are excited to bring Madison into our NBCRC family to help create/develop our specialty programming for the youth in the community.
