Issues getting up off the floor?
This chair class may be just for you!
We will do seated warm ups, followed by standing. Then we start with basic standing poses, work our way back to the chair and go from there!
Many times students think that chair yoga isn't real yoga. I beg to differ!!! You will get as complete a class as anyone who can move to the floor and back up again.
We always finish with almost 15 minutes of relaxation. That's what all those poses were setting you up for, a time of release. Your reward for a job well done!
Yoga is not about being flexible, it's about moving and using all of your muscles, no matter how minor. My job is to help you with that! And we do it with a smile and laughs. All belong here!
Based on the Kripalu school of yoga, a relaxed paced yoga class where we allow our bodies to be our guide for what we are capable of for the day. Kripalu doesn't adhere to the "one size fits all" approach when practicing yoga, encouraging each student to find their own level of practice on a given day by looking inward. Emphasis is placed on tying your breath to your movement, and paying attention to how each pose feels to your body.
